Student Internships


We have internships available in THE specialty areas of fitness/nutrition or lifestyle.

we are currently seeking two interns (one for fitness, one for mental health) to lead a summer session in wheaton starting june 11, 2018. please contact nicki at nicki@proactivekids.org if interested. must have education in fitness or mental health. visit wheaton page for hours and location.

An intern will shadow the PAK Coach and assist in executing the lessons – plain and simple. This is a very hands on experience to work with children struggling with overweight, as well as helping their parents learn how to implement a healthier lifestyle. This is a great opportunity to work with kids and their families and learn from the best in the industry.

Which location you are looking for and which area you would like to  shadow – fitness, nutrition or lifestyle. You will shadow your interest area. Please read those job descriptions to learn more about what you will be doing while shadowing those positions.

Also, be sure to check our program schedule to ensure the dates/times work for you. Program starts M, W, F at 4 pm. The program is only offered for a total of five hours per week.  We offer sessions in Fall, Winter and Spring.

Hours vary by position – Fitness 40 hours – Lifestyle 40 hours – Nutrition 10 hours over 8 weeks. We do not have more hours than this per session if you are looking to fulfill a requirement. You can intern for multiple sessions if seeking an hourly requirement.
 This is an unpaid position.
