By accessing and signing up for this Poster Application Programming Interface (“API”) service offered by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (the “Poster API Service”), you agree to be bound by the terms listed below. The general NCMEC website terms and conditions and privacy policy (https://www.missingkids.org/footer/termsandconditions) (“General T&C”) incorporates these Terms of Service. If you do not expressively agree to all the Terms of Service listed here, then please do not access or use the Poster API Service. The Terms of Service are effective as of October 2024. 

• Signing up for the Poster API Service does not create a partnership or other contractual relationship between you and NCMEC. The Poster API Service was designed solely to facilitate the distribution of missing and unidentified children posters in order to more quickly recover missing children.

• The webpage for NCMEC’s Poster API Service may be revised and changed several times a day. You agree that you are responsible for checking the webpage for NCMEC’s Poster API Service for the most up-to-date posters and status.

• NCMEC owns all content on NCMEC’s Poster API Service, including without limitation, all copyrights, trademarks, service marks, designs, text, graphics, layout, logos, pictures, audio/video clips, information or data (collectively, the "Content"). You agree that you will not delete or alter any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property or proprietary notices contained in the Content.

• You agree that you will utilize only the most current version of the Content and will not use or store any Content unless expressly permitted by these Terms of Service. You agree to use the Content only for the duration necessary for you to provide your application’s services to your users. You may store your own client credentials and access token that is provided by NCMEC. 

• You will not use the Content: (i) for any commercial, fundraising or sponsorship purpose; (ii) in any way that may create the impression that NCMEC benefits from or partners with the sale of any goods or services; or (iii) in any way that may create an impression of endorsement, affiliation, partnership or sponsorship by NCMEC of any individual, entity, product, goods, services, program, event or website.

• You agree to inform NCMEC if you intend to utilize NCMEC’s Poster API Service and/or the content in connection with any technology-assisted programs, including but not limited to artificial intelligence and facial recognition technologies. 

• NCMEC reserves the right to change, update, discontinue, restrict, terminate or prevent access to NCMEC’s Poster API Service or the Content at any time without notice.
